B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is a full time 4 years graduate course, affiliated by JCBUST, YMCA, Faridabad, Haryana (A Haryana State Government University, Accredited “A” grade by NAAC). The course is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Delhi. The course is  designed and developed to train students for industries. Students who pursue B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology gain understanding of mechanical engineering tools and principles which help them to solve real problems of industries. Students get training under guidance and supervision of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who not only help to provide hands on technical training but also develop professional confidence with a sense of social responsibility. The curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between academics and industries. The department of mechanical engineering has well equipped laboratories conforming to the standards and norms lay down by HSBTE and AICTE. Following is the list of laboratories and their objective for this course:

Strength of Materials Lab

The objective of the mechanics of solid lab is to demonstrate the basic principles in the area of strength and mechanics of materials and structural analysis

Fluid Mechanics and Machines Lab

This lab emphasis the concepts of stability, continuity and Bernoulli’s equation; various losses through pipes; to learn the determination of hydraulic coefficients and velocity profile.


The objective of this lab is to understand mechanical engineering by introduction of conventional machines, welding, refrigeration & air conditioning.

Thermal Lab- I

The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the various energy conversion devices and their performance.

Materials Engineering Lab

The overall objective of the course is to provide the students with hands-on microstructures of material and its structure.

Kinematics of Machines Lab

The focus of this lab is to demonstrate the basic elements of machine members and its arrangement to make a mechanism, such as mechanisms, cam, gears etc.

Workshop- IV

The purpose of this lab is to understand the basics of mechanical engineering by conventional machines, welding, refrigeration and air conditioning and exercises.

Thermal Lab- II

At the end of the course, the student shall be able to familiarize COP associated with refrigeration systems, understand basic function of refrigeration component, explore thermal conductivity and convection process and find out heat transfer coefficient of heat exchangers.

Dynamics of Machines Lab

To demonstrate the effects of various forces in balancing, governing and directing in a mechanism.


To understand the mechanical engineering by conventional and non-conventional machines, welding, and refrigeration and air conditioning exercises.


To understand the fundamentals of CAE tools for mechanical systems and practicing in the field of computer aided manufacturing.


To understand the mechanical engineering by advanced conventional and non-conventional machines, welding, refrigeration and air conditioning and exercises.


To understand the mechanical engineering by conventional and non-conventional machines, metal cutting & welding by arc, MIG/MAG, resistance and refrigeration and air conditioning.
