Overview

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a full time 3 years skill-based course affiliated by Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Faridabad has been recognized for its high-quality education over the years. The objective of this course is to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of various subjects of mechanical as well as other allied subjects to enable students to cope up with advance trends of modernization in industries. Strength of Materials

To interpret various concepts and terms related to strength of materials.

Thermodynamics-I

To maintain steam generators, turbines, compressors and other power plant equipment.

Basics of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

To understand the basic concepts and principles of D.C and A.C fundamentals, electromagnetic induction, batteries, transformers, motors, distribution system, domestic installation, electrical safety etc.

Mechanical Engineering Drawing

To interpret drawings and preparing drawings and sketches of mechanical components.

Workshop Practice –I

To provide knowledge about various manufacturing processes.

Computer Aided Drafting

To draw and interpret CAD drawings using drawing, editing and viewing in CAD software.

Materials and Metallurgy

To know basics of metal structure, properties, usage and testing of various ferrous and nonferrous materials and various heat treatment processes.

Hydraulics and Pneumatics

To deal with properties of fluid and use of hydraulics and pneumatics in power generation and industries.

Thermodynamics-II

To know about testing of IC engines, fuel supply, ignition system, cooling and lubrication of engines and gas turbines.

Workshop Practice-II:

To know about various machining processes, modern machining methods, tools, jigs and fixtures.

Theory of Machines

To develop knowledge and skills about various aspects related to design of machine components.

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning

To know the basic principles of refrigeration and air conditioning.

CNC Machines and Automation

To develop the knowledge and skills about CNC machines, tools, equipment and use of high tech machines for increased productivity and quality.

Workshop Practice –III

To gain knowledge about various machining processes and modern machining methods.

Automobile Engineering

To supervise production and repair and maintenance of vehicles.

Inspection and Quality Control
